The Rising Sun Inn Kensington features 5 different spaces available in various configurations for functions and events including weddings, cocktail parties, stand up, corporate and group functions (room hire fees may apply).
1846 Dining Room
The main dining room of the heritage building. The low timber ceiling, old brick and blue stone walls and open fireplace give an intimate surrounding. Carpeted floors throughout make conversation easy.

Conservatory
Enclosed by timber bi-fold doors, a high ceiling and glass skylight, this room provides a sense of space. In summer the bi-fold doors are opened to reveal the adjoining outdoor dining area, whilst in winter the wood fire and carpeted floor create an inviting escape from the cold. This room also has a separate bar making it a wonderful private function area for cocktail parties, special events and corporate meetings.

1846 Dining Room & Conservatory combined
Two large stained glass doors between the 1846 Dining Room and the Conservatory open up to reveal a lovely large space which allows freedom of movement between the two areas. This space is perfect for any larger event. Wireless microphones through the audio system take the stress out of giving speeches.

Small Private Dining Room
Located just to the right of the main entrance and away from the other dining spaces, this wonderful stone walled room with private fireplace makes a perfect dining room for smaller gatherings. Bookings are essential for this room as it is very popular!

Outdoor Area
Under the large market umbrella this area is perfect during the day, and showcases the stars at night, weather permitting. This area adjoins the Conservatory and can be used as a separate area if the Conservatory is being used à la carte. In the event of an exclusive booking for the Conservatory, the Outdoor Area becomes part of the Conservatory.
